Meizu MX5 info has been popping up all over the place lately. The device has been certified in China, we’ve seen a number of leaked images and most recently it also popped up on Geekbench once again revealing its specifications. The company has confirmed that they’ll hold an event on June 30th, and judging by the amount of MX5 leaks and the official teaser image, that handset will almost certainly be unveiled at that event. That being said, the device has showed its face yet again, this time in a video, read on.

Keep in mind that it might take a while for the video to start, no matter how fast is your internet connection. That being said, the device showcased in this video actually goes hand-in-hand to pretty much everything we’ve seen in the last couple of weeks. The Meizu MX5 will be made out of metal, and you can clearly see its design in this video / images, along with the physical home button below the display, which will allegedly also double as a fingerprint scanner.
The Meizu MX5 will reportedly sport a 5.5-inch FullHD (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM and multiple internal storage variants. MediaTek’s MT6795T octa-core processor is said to power this thing, and a 3,150mAh battery has also been mentioned. On the back of this handset, you’ll be able to find a 20-megapixel snapper, and a 5-megapixel shooter will quite probably be available up front. Android 5.0.1 Lollipop will come pre-installed here (at least according to Geekbench), and Meizu’s Flyme UI will be installed on top of it. Meizu MX5 will measure 146 x 74.6 x 7.9mm and weight 147 grams, while 4G LTE connectivity will also be a part of this package.
The Meizu MX5 will almost certainly be unveiled on June 30th when Meizu is holding their event in China, and we’ll be on the scene in Beijing. The launch event is only a week away at this point, so stay tuned for more info, we’re almost certain more leaks will pop up in the coming days.
