Ulefone is a Chinese smartphone OEM, and the company is constantly pushing new smartphones out to the market. The Ulefone Be Touch was released quite recently actually, and the company has started teasing its successor not long after the Be Touch’s release. Ulefone has said that they’ll announce the Ulefone Be Touch 2 handset on June 8, which is today, and the company has kept their promise. Anyhow, let’s check out what this handset has to offer, shall we.
The Ulefone Be Touch 2 features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080, 401ppi) display (2.5D curved glass is located on top of it) along with 3GB of DDR3 RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB). This handset is powered by MediaTek’s MT6752 64-bit octa-core processor running at 1.7GHz, while a 3,050mAh battery is also a part of this package. The 13-megapixel camera (IMX214) is located on the back of the Be Touch 2, and a 5-megapixel snapper is available up front. Much like its predecessor, this handset also sports a physical home button which doubles as a fingerprint scanner, and there are also two capacitive buttons on its sides. On the left side, you’ll find the menu button, while a back button is located on the home button’s right-hand side. The aforementioned fingerprint scanner can remember 5 fingerprints actually, so you can preset five of your fingers and use either one of those you’d like. This handset also offers 4G LTE connectivity, in case you were wondering.
The Ulefone Be Touch 2 resembles its predecessor a whole lot, in terms of general design, and they both sport a metal frame. We don’t have the exact measurements of the Ulefone Be Touch 2, but chances are this model is somewhat thicker than its predecessor considering it sports a bigger 3,050mAh unit on the inside, while the Ulefone Be Touch packed in a 2,550mAh battery. The Ulefone Be Touch 2 has a removable back cover, and its battery is replaceable, as it was the case with Be Touch as well. That being said, Ulefone has even announced the pricing of this handset, and it will be available from a range of Ulefone partners (Chinese retailers which ship all over the world) soon for $179.99.
