It’s been known for some time that Google Glass was going to be getting an enterprise model meant for businesses, and this week we learned a couple more details about the upcoming wearable. It’ll be more durable and come with a folding design as well as a waterproof rating to make it better fit for the enterprise market. While part of Google continues to work on the next version of Glass, another part has been focused on improving the transcription for voicemails within Google Voice. Google also announced this past week they’d be working with NASA to create a drone tracking control system for tasks similar to what air traffic control does for airplanes.
In addition to the announcements from Google this past week the FCC has conditionally approved the AT&T and DIRECTV merger, an acquisition which has been in the works for quite some time. There were also quite a few leaks which surfaced, with benchmark scores for the Verizon model of the Galaxy Note 5 showing up as well as specs for the upcoming Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Moto G 3rd Gen, and image leaks popping up for the 3rd Gen Moto X. YouTube also got a fairly big redesign with new editing features, and Nokia was rumored to be unveiling some virtual reality tech at their upcoming event. If you missed anything from this week, you can check out the details from these top stories below.
