While there are still just rumors about the upcoming Moto G 2015 spec-wise, a not to be named accessory manufacturer decided to use the chance and send a thrill of anticipation through the eagerly waiting community with a bunch of 3D renders that are supposed to show the device in all its glory. As usual, such renders are to be taken with a grain of salt, as they’re just not product shots, but as they seem to concur with previously leaked alleged press renders, there may actually be some truth in them.
Like the pictures published at the end of June this year, we again get so see a front with what seem to be dual speakers and a slightly textured back with a small bar in the middle, housing camera, flash and the Motorola logo. The frame of the device appears to be metallic, almost unibody-like, but that might just be a wise color choice to give the device a more sophisticated look, while the back seems to be made of plastic like the present model. The headphone jack is positioned on the top, while the micro USB slot resides on the bottom and the left side of the frame appears clean, with the power button as well as the volume rocker occupying the right side, which would again concur with the other pictures that have been haunting the internet.
A side shot with the device on its back unveils certainly not the slimmest possible profile, but the already well known slight curvature, that Motorola is applying to its devices ever since the first Moto X made its debut.
As there haven’t been any confirmations or contradictions about the specs yet, a short summary of what we’re to expect according to the latest buzz around this next big budget phone:
So far there’s been talk of a 5 inch display with 720p resolution, a 13 MP rear-facing main shooter and 5 MP front-facing camera, for all those selfie- and video-calling needs, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory (expandable my microSD), supposedly with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 taking control of and powering all those ingredients. No word yet on battery capacity or charging possibilities, but as stamina was one of the highest rated features of the previous G series, it’s unlikely that Motorola will risk anything on that side.
