Samsung is currently the world’s biggest smartphone manufacturer. More or less everyone has heard of their Android-powered ‘Galaxy’ line of devices. Samsung has released a ton of Galaxy-branded handsets to date, and the company has released their latest flagships back in March during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. That being said, we’ve seen quite a few leaks regarding the company’s upcoming Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus handsets. Well, today we have some additional info to share with you, read on.
According to the source, the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will both sport a 5.67-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 (QHD). The two devices will be available in Black, Silver, White and Gold color options. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N920) will reportedly have a flat display, while the S6 Edge Plus will sport a similar panel to the already released Galaxy S6 Edge, in other words, it will be curved on both sides. The source has also added that the both phones will feature glass backs, much like the Galaxy S6 handset which were announced earlier in the year. This might actually mean that neither of these two devices will offer a removable battery nor a microSD card slot, that was to be expected though.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is codenamed ‘Project Noble’, and it will most likely sport Samsung’s very own Exynos 7422 SoC which will combine a 64-bit octa-core processor, GPU, RAM, storage and Samsung’s Shannon LTE model. This chip will be Samsung’s all-in-one solution as you can see, and it will certainly be interesting to see how will it perform. The Galaxy S6 Edge is codenamed ‘Project Zen’, and it will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core chip which you can find in the LG G4. This handset will sport a 16-megapixel OIS camera on its back, and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. The 3,000mAh battery was also mentioned, and 32GB of internal storage will also be on board. Android 5.1.1 will come pre-installed on this handset along with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, of course. There you have it folks, stay tuned for more info.
