As you all probably know at this point, Motorola has showcased three new devices today, the Moto X Style, Moto X Play and the 3rd-gen Moto G. We’ve already talked about each of these devices at length at this point, and considering we were participating Motorola’s event in New York, we were also able to get an early hands-on with the Moto X Style and Moto G (Moto X Play wasn’t available at the event). That being said, we’re here to take a closer look at the all-new Moto G handset, read on.
If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll be able to find quite a few Moto G images which will give you an idea not only how the device looks, but how big it is. The handset’s design is upgraded from the last model, and as you can see, it now sports a metallic plate on the back, like the other two Moto devices. Both the power / lock and volume rocker buttons are located on the right-hand side of this smartphone. The camera, dual-LED, dual tone flash and Motorola’s logo are located on the aforementioned metallic plate on the back of the smartphone.
The new Moto G sports a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display along with 1 or 2GB of RAM. The 1GB model comes with 8GB of internal storage, while the 2GB variant gets 16GB of in-built storage. Both variants of the device offer microSD expansion, and are otherwise completely identical. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz powers this handset along with an Adreno 306 GPU. The 13-megapixel camera is placed on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel snapper can be found up front. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on the device, and a 2,470mAh battery is also included in this package.
The Moto G comes in Black and White color options, and will be actually available on the Moto Maker. If you live in one of the countries Motorola’s online customization tool is available in, you’ll be able to customize the Moto G before you buy it. It is also worth mentioning that the phone is available starting today in over 60 countries all over the world.
