Samsung is about to release some important devices soon, the company has sent invitations for an event on August 13 and while there’s no way to know for sure what will they introduce that day, it seems pretty likely that the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+ will make an appearance due to the large amount of leaks we’ve been getting in recent times. Some rumors even state that the larger version of its phone with a curved screen on both sides will make a bigger impact in the company’s plans. At first it was thought that the internals of the Galaxy S6 Edge+ would be identical to those included in the regular version and that the only change would be the larger curved display, but recent leaks suggest that it may be improved in some areas like having 4 GB of RAM.
Other information regarding the internals of the Galaxy S6 Edge+, like the type of processor it will use are still contradictory, but it is largely being assumed that it will use the same Exynos 7420 found on the version we know. Now, thanks to the database of the Indian site Zauba, which is dedicated to register devices that are imported or exported from that country, there is some more information about the camera module of the new phone which is said to come with the model number SM-928V. The main camera will feature a 1/2.6″ sensor with 16-megapixels of resolution, pretty much like the one found on the Galaxy S6 flagships.
Though not said explicitly, the camera on the Galaxy S6 Edge+ will most likely feature optical image stabilization, just like the flagships do. The camera on those phones is often considered among the best ones ever found in a smartphone, producing sharp, saturated photographs that benefit from features like HDR, so the new phone is expected to take some great photos too. We will have to wait a little longer to confirm all of the rumors, but this device is meant to appeal those users who liked the design and the technology of the Galaxy S6 Edge, but would appreciate more screen estate. Plus, the production of the original S6 Edge apparently didn’t meet the demand, so the company will have another chance to include the great design of the phone.
