OnePlus 2 Appears on YouTube

On Monday, OnePlus is due to be announcing their next flagship device, the OnePlus 2. We’ve been hearing lots about the device lately. Including the fact that it’ll be sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor along with a USB Type-C port, a 3,300mAh battery inside and a fingerprint sensor. Monday, is when all will be known, as OnePlus is planning to announce everything at 10pm EST and 7pm PST. They are actually doing the event in virtual reality, they launched the app for the event earlier today on Google Play.

Now there’s a video surfacing and making the rounds on YouTube that shows the said device turned on and running through AnTuTu. We also get a nice look at the software here. Which does have a few hints of Material Design here, but no where near what we had with the OnePlus One, thanks to Cyanogen OS. This AnTuTu test got about 49K as a score. Which isn’t bad, but it’s not blazing either. However, it is also important to remember that benchmarks don’t always equal real world use. We’ve seen devices with crazy benchmarks score, that don’t perform too well in real world use. So keep that in mind heading into Monday.

OnePlus also launched their invite registration system this morning. So you can register to get an invite when the OnePlus 2 is ready to buy. Last time we checked there were over 50,000 people that had registered already. So it might be a while before you get a OnePlus 2 if you haven’t registered already. Each person will have 24 hours to buy their device, if they don’t buy it, the invite will go to someone else. So the line could go pretty quickly.

As we always do, we will be covering the OnePlus event on Monday, so you’ll want to keep your browser locked to Android Headlines for all of the details. We already know the device is going to be around $450, so it’ll be interesting to see how many people are still interested in the device once it is announced. Seeing as it’s going to be quite a bit more, price-wise, than the OnePlus One was. And price was one of it’s biggest selling points.
