Possible Specs For The LG G Pad 2 Leaked

While the sales on tablets have decreased significantly since these devices first appeared, OEMs are still trying to create some that would sell relatively well. LG isn’t one of the popular brands for tablets, but they have made some pretty ordinary ones. Perhaps the most relevant of them was the G Pad 8.3, which featured a compact design that included some metallic elements and it even made it to the Google Play Edition collection of devices, featuring an untouched version of the Android operating system. It was released almost two years ago and now we have some news that LG might be thinking on bringing a new version of this tablet.

It was spotted on the Chinese social network Weibo and it’s currently known as the LG G Pad 2, the information is coming from Leaksfly, who has provided truthful information regarding other devices in the past. While the details on this tablet are still scarce, the screen is supposed to keep its size at 8.3 inches and it is said to have a 1080p resolution, so it will probably have the same 1920 x 1200 resolution from the last model. The processor powering up the tablet will be the somewhat old Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 which with the 3GB of RAM, should provide a good enough experience and both components are big upgrades compared to the ones found on its predecessor.

The internal memory has also been increased, now having 32 GB available to store all kinds of apps and files. Tablets are not the most comfortable devices to take some photos, so the camera configuration in the G Pad 2 is pretty standard, with an 8MP camera supposedly on the back and a 5MP camera on the front for those occasional video calls or selfies. The tablet is supposed to be released in October, so unsurprisingly it will be running Android 5.1 out of the box. There’s no word on the price or the markets that will get the tablet and with the rather typical specifications, LG should put a lot of thought on the design so that it can make this tablet stand out.
