Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Imported Into India For Testing

Samsung’s Galaxy Note series is the most popular phablet series of smartphones in the world. Ever since this Korean tech giant launched the first Galaxy Note back in 2011, these devices have been extremely popular. The Galaxy Note 4 has, for the first time in the series, sported a metallic trim. Since then, Samsung has released their Galaxy S6 flagships which are made entirely out of metal, so it will be interesting to see what will the Galaxy Note 5 both look like and materials will be made out of. That being said, we’ve already seen a ton of leaked info regarding this device, and the device has just popped up on Zauba.

Zauba is India’s import-export website, and the Samsung SM-N920F has surfaced in their database. It seems like this device has been imported into India last Thursday, and judging by the model number, this is the Galaxy Note 5. That very same device has popped up on FCC a while back, in case you don’t remember. The phone’s listed value is $572, though keep in mind that this is almost certainly not the final price of the device, we’re looking at just a prototype here. The Galaxy Note 5 will probably be unveiled at the beginning of September as part of IFA, though some reports have been stating that it might happen sooner than that, in August.

The Galaxy Note 5 is said to sport a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display along with 4GB of RAM, while a 4,000+mAh battery has also been mentioned several times. The company’s Exynos 7422 SoC will probably fuel this thing, and a 16-megapixel OIS shooter will be located on the back of Samsung’s upcoming phablet. This thing will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI installed on top of Google’s OS. It is possible that Samsung intends to launch the rumored Galaxy S6 Edge Plus along with the Galaxy Note 5, but we’re still not sure. Either way, this Korean tech giant will announce two high-end devices in the next month or two, and we’ll defintiely see more leaked material and rumors before that happens, so brace yourselves.
