Sponsored Game Review: Connect – Puzzle Game

Connect is an Android puzzle game, put together by the same developer responsible for ZiBo and other arcade games. In Connect, all you need to do is to drag and slide pieces into position to complete the puzzle. Think of fixing water pipes, and you have the right idea here. With 64 levels, and more on the way, Connect is a devilishly difficult arcade puzzle game that’s easy to play, yet difficult to master. Great for puzzle veterans and casual gamers alike, let’s see how Connect shapes up.

First of all, you’ll need to download Connect from the Play Store. Then, you go ahead and get started.

Clicking the question mark in the main menu will present you with a quick introduction of how to play the game, all you need to do is to drag the tiles to move them.

This sounds easy enough, but you can only move tiles that are in the black areas, you can’t move those that are fixed, and at the top of the game area you have a move counter with a maximum amount of moves available to you.

Here, I have moved a couple of times, and have used 2 out of my 10 maximum moves. This is just the first level, so things are pretty easy, and I was able to complete it easily. At the end of each level, you’re given a rating out of three-stars. This rating is displayed next to each level, giving you the opportunity to go back and perfect your levels.

Moving on to the second level, I was already finding things really quite difficult, of course the game is designed to be difficult. It’s a classic puzzle arrangement of a game, but I was really struggling to wrap my head around such a stringent move limit.

After a little time I was getting used to things, and I soon found myself settling in to the game. Thankfully, there are as many as 64 levels to play through with Connect, so there’s a lot to get through.

Some of the later levels are really quite difficult, and they get started on more than one path to correct quite early on.

I had fun with Connect, but I think it’s a little too difficult, even for me. Of course, this makes me want to continue playing the game to get better and better at it. Over time, I hope to be able to complete levels a lot quicker, but I enjoy the challenge. It’s nice to have to think about each and every move rather than just blindly go through a game. For those on the move, this is a great way to pass the time waiting for the bus or on the train, and I’m sure a lot of people will value the casual, yet challenging approach to the game. With 64 levels on offer here, it’d be difficult to be done with Connect any time soon and fans of the game can easily remove ads through one small in-app purchase.
