Pig Jump is an Android game that’s aimed towards all style of players and ages. With simple controls and an addictive play style, Pig Jump puts you in control of a friendly Pig trying to get to where he needs to go, but he keeps coming up against obstacles like birds and jumping fish, you’re rocket launcher can take care of these. Controls are simple, and just like Flappy Bird, there’s a lot of jumping involved but this is taken care of for you. Instead, Pig Jump focuses more on collecting coins and moving the device to time your jumps just right. You’re scored on not only how far you managed to keep going, but also how accurate your hit rate was and more. Let’s take a closer look, shall we?
First of all, players will need to download Pig Jump from the Play Store. Then, they can go ahead and get started.
The controls are really easy to get to grips with in Pig Jump, and there’s no messing around when it comes to figuring out what to do, they couldn’t be easier.
Pig Jump is a game that feels similar to Flappy Bird, but rather than relying on an infuriating difficulty level as its main hook, Pig Jump gives you more to do, and asks you to tilt to keep going as well as tap to shoot enemies while playing.
So, in the above screenshot I’d need to time my tilt properly to get to the next stone, and I’d also need to time my next shot in order to take out that piranha jumping up and down. The further into the game you get and the more coins you’ll come across.
Should you come to the end of your run, you’ll be awarded a score based on not just how far you’ve come, but also your accuracy among other things.
I’m still getting the hang of things, but one thing I really liked about Pig Jump was the steady ramp up in difficulty. You have to earn the added difficulty, and it’s nice and gradual, it doesn’t get to a point where you feel like the game is throwing too much at you too soon.
As there’s a lot of jumping going on here, it’s pretty impossible not to compare this with Flappy Bird, and in sheer times of depth, Pig Jump is just a better game. There’s more to do here, and there’s more for you to do without feeling like the game is set against you right from the very beginning. I enjoyed the game, and while I can say that this is something more for casual gamers out there, it’s an addictive game that actually has quite a bit of polish to it. All of the cartoon characters are put together really well, and the animations are fluid and smooth. The game runs great, the ads aren’t too obtrusive and it’s just good fun. We seem to have forgotten the joys of tilt-controls over the years, and Pig Jump is a game that brings all of this back and it does so by keeping you on your toes and ask you to hold your nerve as you try to beat your last high score. The graphics are well-polished and I had no issues with performance at all.

- Has been developed with a lot of polish, it runs well and all of the right boxes are ticked.

- Google Play Games integration would be nice to see.
Overall, Pig Jump is a game that has a lot on offer, especially to say that it channels Flappy bird in a big way. Rather than just improving upon that formula however, Pig Jump creates something different, yet familiar. It’s good fun, the controls are easy to get to grips with and it poses a challenge that actually requires skill, rather than the ridiculous difficulty of Flappy Bird which never seemed to make much sense. Pig Jump is not only available on Android, but also Windows Phone as well as iOS devices, too.
