ZTE V5 Handset Leaks, Will Probably Launch On July 29th

ZTE has announced a number of compelling smartphones this year. This Chinese smartphone OEM has announced three devices as part of their Nubia Z9 flagship line. The Nubia Z9 is the company’s current flagships, the Nubia Z9 Max is a high-end phablet, and the Z9 Mini is a premium built mid-range offering by the company. These are not the only premium offerings ZTE has launched this year though, their latest smartphone, the ZTE Axon, is right up there with the rest of them. The Axon was announced in the US quite recently, and it seems like the device will also launch in Asia, though it will sport a fingerprint scanner on the back in the Asian market(s).

It seems like this Chinese smartphone OEM intends to launch something at the end of this month, at least according to the company’s new teaser. If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll notice ZTE’s official teaser which obviously points to a fingerprint scanning capabilities of their upcoming smartphone. Now, you might guess that this teaser is Axon-related, well, that’s not the case because Chinese variant of Axon is launching today. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll notice quite a few leaked images of ZTE’s upcoming ‘V5’ device. According to a report, this teaser is actually related to that smartphone, not the ZTE Axon. Either way, it seems like ZTE is about to announce a new smartphone on July 29th, so everything will be revealed in about a week from now.

As you can see in the images down below, this smartphone seems to be made out of metal, and it also sports the circular fingerprint scanner on the back. The fingerprint scanner is located below the camera sensor and the LED flash, which is actually the most common placing of that sensor. Both the power / lock and volume rocker physical buttons are located on the right-hand side of this device, and the camera actually has a blue trim around it. The loud speaker is placed in the bottom portion of the phone’s back, and it doesn’t seem all that big, but we’ll see how it performs once the device launches. There you have it folks, stay tuned for more info, ZTE is about to launch this thing on July 29th.
