ASUS have been enjoying some success with the ZenFone line of products since they first launched some time ago, but the ZenFone 2 is the pinnacle of their offerings. Particularly the 5.5-inch Full HD version of the ZenFone 2, which offers some of the best specifications for the money of any other smartphone out there. Of course, now the third-generation Moto G and OnePlus 2 have given ASUS something to worry about. Never mind these new devices however, ASUS is determined to become something of a name in the Indian market, and with the launch of this ZenFone 2 Deluxe Edition, they hope to offer something a little special for their Indian customers.
Launched during their special ZenFestival event in India, the ZenFone 2 Deluxe Edition is pretty much the same device as it always was, but it will be available in Illusion White, Illusion Blue and Illusion Red colors with the textured and patterned back included as standard. It will also be available as either a 64GB or 128GB device, with the 64GB device priced at RS 22,999 while the 128GB version has yet to be priced. This version of the device features 4GB of RAM, a 1080p 5.5-inch display and that speedy 2.3 Ghz Quad-Core Intel Atom Z3580 with Android 5.0 Lollipop and a 3,000 mAh battery onboard.
Altogether, this is a pretty decent offering from ASUS, and while it doesn’t add much to the already competent ZenFone 2 formula, it’s something that those with a little extra money to spare will appreciate. Not only does this look classy, but it’s got enough RAM and storage to handle practically anything that you throw at it as well. The ZenFone 2 was an excellent device when we reviewed it, and we’re sure that it’s held up well in the short time since it launched. While availability has yet to be finalised, we’re sure it will be available in similar stores as the ZenFone 2, such as Snapdeal and others.
