It has been rumored that Samsung is working on the Galaxy S7 handset for a while now, and some of the rumors said that the company is partnering with Qualcomm, which means the device will be powered by the Snapdragon SoC. A recent rumor said that Samsung is trying to speed up the development of the Galaxy S7, and now we have some new information about this device, well, leaked information that is. Read on.

The Galaxy S7 is said to be a high-end smartphone, and according to this info, it certainly will be. The Galaxy S7 is said to sport Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 820 SoC. The report also claims that the Exynos variant of the device will also be released, but it seems like the Snapdragon version will be first to see the light of day. The Galaxy S7 is codenamed ‘Jungfrau’, at least according to the info which was made available back in July.

If you take a look at the images below this article, you’ll see the allegedly leaked Samsung documents regarding Samsung’s Android M upgrade program. It seems like the company has added support for the MSM8996 SoC and Jungfrau handset in there, which suggests that this smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon’s upcoming chip. It seems like this might be Samsung’s new premium offering, and at the same time the company’s flagship. This is very interesting actually considering the company has released their Galaxy S6 flagship offerings back in March, and the Galaxy Note 5 / Galaxy Note Edge Plus phablets are about to be launched soon as well.

Judging by the available info, the Galaxy S7 might be better-specced than any other Samsung-branded device available at the moment. We’re waiting for some additional specification info, but it seems like this device will ship with the Snapdragon 820 on board, which suggests that other specifications will be top-notch as well. You can also expect this phone to be made out of metal, and it remains to be seen what will it look like in the end. Either way, stay tuned for more info, we’ll report back as soon as something new pops up.
