Latest ZenFones Up For Pre-Order In India From August 19

Pre-orders for Asustek’s latest range of smartphones will begin in India from Wednesday, August 19th, according to a press release by the Taiwanese company. The phones will be available at a number of online and offline locations, including exclusive ASUS stores, authorized retailer outlets and on Flipkart, one of the largest online retailers in the country. India is the first international market to get Asus’ latest range of mid-rangers, which were originally revealed by Asus at the Computex 2015 event held earlier this year in Taiwan. At the Zen Festival 2015 event held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi earlier this month, Asus launched a number of smartphones and tablets in India as part of its ever-expanding portfolio of ZenFone and ZenPad branded devices respectively. The smartphones which will be available for pre-order include the ZenFone 2 Deluxe, the ZenFone 2 Laser 5.5 and the ZenFone Selfie. While the entry-level ZenFone Go has also been listed on Flipkart, Asus’ press release did not say anything about that particular device, or for that matter, the ZenPad tablets, which were also launched at the same event as mentioned already.

Coming to the devices up for pre-order, the ZenFone 2 Deluxe is basically the exact same handset internally as the ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML), but comes with a back cover made out of premium polygonal material. The smartphone is available in a 64 GB version priced at Rs. 22,999 ($350) and a 128 GB version priced at Rs. 29,990 ($475). The ZenFone 2 Laser 5.5 will be up for grabs at Rs. 9,999 ($160) for the 2 GB version powered by the Snapdragon 410, while the 3 GB version powered by the Snapdragon 615 will be available for Rs. 13,499 ($215). As for the ZenFone Selfie which comes with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera, the smartphone can be had for a price of Rs. 15,999 ($255) for the 2GB RAM / 16 GB ROM version, while the 3 GB RAM / 32 GB ROM version will set you back by Rs. 17,999 ($285). Each smartphone will be available in a number of different color options as well. Asus also showed off a 5-inch model of its ZenFone 2 Laser at Computex 2015, which is yet to launched officially in India, but the device is expected to be available in the country at some stage in the future.
