LG and Huawei Nexus devices have been mentioned many times this year. Both of this tech giants have been rumored to be working on the upcoming Nexus devices with Google. LG is reportedly working on a 5.2-inch model, and Huawei is preparing the 5.7-inch phablet. That being said, earlier today @OnLeaks has shared the probable specs of the Huawei-made Nexus handset, and we’ve already covered that, but it seems like the leaker has also tweeted out the specs of the upcoming LG-made Nexus handset. Keep in mind that this is not a spec confirmation or anything of the sort, so take this info with a grain of salt, as it usually goes with rumors / leaks.
According to the leaker, the LG Nexus (2015) will also be made out of metal, just like Huawei’s model. The device will sport 2 front-facing speakers, and a fingerprint scanner on the back. You can also expect this phone to sport a Type-C USB 3.0 port down below, and according to the available info, the LG Nexus will measure 146.9 x 72.9 x 9.8mm. Considering we’re looking at a 5.2-inch device, this seems a bit odd considering how tall the device is, but keep in mind that LG will include two front-facing speakers, so the device is a bit taller than usual, not by much though.
The Huawei Nexus which leaked earlier will reportedly also be made out of metal, sport a fingerprint scanner on the back, and will also rock the Type-C USB 3.0 port. That handset will be somewhat bigger than the LG model, but it will also sport a significantly bigger display (5.7-inches in size). These partial specs seem to be spot on and kind of go hand-in-hand with everything we’ve seen thus far. Both of these devices are rumored to sport Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC, but that almost certainly won’t happen considering the fact that first Snapdragon 820-powered devices won’t be launched until Q1 2016. All that we can do at this point is sit tight and wait for some additional news when it comes to both of these devices, stay tuned, we’ll report back soon.
