In literally less than twenty four hours from now, Samsung will take to the stage in New York City and unveil one of the highlight devices of the year, their Galaxy Note 5. Along with the Note 5, Samsung are also pretty much guaranteed to be unveiling the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+. This is largely expected to be a bigger version of the Galaxy S6 Edge but with a number of the same specs. Well in spite of the two devices yet to be formally introduced by Samsung, they have been the subject of a mass of leaks recently, with images appearing, renders surfacing and even their full specs seemingly being confirmed. The latest images only surfacing this morning. Now, even with such a short amount of time before the actual event, it seems the leaks have not yet fully dried up.
The latest leak comes from a promo flier for Sprint that has surfaced and provides some more details about the launch of the two devices. The promo itself, confirms that Sprint will be offering a $200 trade in for those who sign up for a new two-year contract for either the Galaxy S6 Edge+ or the Galaxy Note 5. Not to mention, those who do sign up will also receive a free Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 as well. So not a bad deal.
However, the most revealing aspect is that the promo details that the promotion is a limited time deal and is only due to run until August 27th. With the event taking place tomorrow, August 13th, that suggests that the two devices might see a very quick launch after their respective announcements. A recent report did suggest that the launch date might be August 21st, which would fit in nicely and offers those thinking about taking up the Sprint promotion a solid week to trade-in. However, a week is a very limited time and therefore, it could launch even earlier. In fact, as tomorrow is exactly two weeks before the promo is scheduled to end, we might even see an almost instant launch. Either way, it does seem increasingly likely that the launch date for both devices will be in the next week or two.
