Verizon Updates Galaxy S6 to Android 5.1.1
Verizon might not be the quickest carrier, but they’ve updated the Galaxy S6 to Android 5.1.1 at long last, along with the above changes as well. The Contacts app seems to have been fixed and the Mobile Data icon has reappeared as well.
LG G4 Gets Stagefright Update on AT&T
The LG G4 on AT&T is getting its stagefright update at long last, and many of you will have already seen the update arrive. If you’re not sure of what Stagefright is, you can read more about that here. Other than that however, this update is just for security fixes, but those with an H810 model G4 on Ma Bell can read more here.
Android 5.1.1 Arrives on Original Xperia Z Line
Android 5.1.1 Lollipop hit the Xperia Z1, Z2 and Z3 line of devices over the summer, and kicking off the Fall for Sony is the arrival of the new software on the original Xperia Z line. Including the Xperia Z, ZL, ZR and the Xperia Z Tablet. The software version is 10.7.A.0.222 for all Xperia Z devices.
Stagefright Fix Arrives for NVIDIA SHIELD TABLET
More stagefright fixes are coming, and thankfully they’re coming thick and fast, although they arguably should have arrived much sooner than this, but still. As we covered elsewhere on the site, the NVIDIA SHIELD TABLET has now got the update with Stagefright fixes.
T-Mobile’s Video Calling Hits Galaxy S6 Duo in Latest Update
The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are getting some new features for T-Mobile users this week, although the Video Calling that T-Mobile has just announced is perhaps not news to anyone who has ever used Skype or something similar. NVIDIA SHIELD TV Gets New App Support With Version 1.4
