Huawei Nexus 6P To Cost $499.99 & Pre-Orders Open Tomorrow

Over the last few days the details on what to expect from the two imminent Nexus arrivals has increased greatly. It seems since Friday, nearly all of the details about the Huawei Nexus 6P and LG Nexus 5X have come to light. We now know much more about what the specs are expected to be, what the device will offer feature-wise and even a better understanding of what the devices will look like. That said, one aspect which has remained somewhat illusive was the actual price of the devices.

Well, to be fair, there has been rumbling about the price of the LG Nexus 5X with the suggestion that it will come in round the $400 marker for some time. In fact, within the last hour, the latest ‘confirmation’ has come through on the Nexus 5X and has now confirmed that the launch price for the base model will actually be $379.99. However, the Nexus 6P price has remained unknown. For some, this is likely to be the biggest detail on this week’s event as the Nexus 6P is expected to be the flagship model and by that token, will be the most expensive of the two.

Well, Android Police are now reporting that they are confirming the price of the Nexus 6P to be $499.99. This information comes from their “trusted sources” and details that the Nexus 6P will be available for $499.99 for the 32GB model. This is of course, the base model and as such, the price will rise on an up-sliding scale for the bigger 64GB and 128 models which are also expected to be released. In addition to the price, the report is also detailing that pre-orders for the Nexus 6P will open tomorrow, September 29th, presumably after the event has ended. This is in line with the prediction that is being made for the Nexus 5X within the last hour. Although, it is contradictory to the October 13th date that had previously been suggested from other sources. Either way, the latest report details that although pre-orders will open, they will be limited at first to the U.S., UK, Ireland, Canada and Japan.
