Many manufacturers of mobile products are releasing flagship products two times a year. The handsets that launch on the second half of the year are often based on the ones that got released first but they could feature some improvements such as a larger display with more resolution or a better build quality. The LG G4 still holds quite well, as it is one of the few smartphones that feature a removable battery and Micro SD card memory expansion, plus it integrates one of the best cameras out there. It was natural to think that LG could release another flagship device based on those qualities and improve some areas, so there were some rumors that this new handset could be named LG G4 Pro.
It was rumored that the LG G4 Pro could feature a construction based on metal, but the company has recently released the LG Class, which might have been confused for the new flagship device. The company scheduled an event for the first day of October, and at first there was some speculation about what could the company announce. A smartwatch was rumored, and then an interesting device called the LG V10 also known as Ticker was rumored to make an appearance, as it passed through TENAA.
Now, the company has released a teaser video for that event, so we know for sure what to expect. At least, the V10 seems likely to make an appearance, as the model that appears on the video gets an asymmetrical and angular cut of her hair that matches the shape of a portion on the front of the device where the front-facing camera (or cameras) will be located. On the right side of the camera, where a secondary display is supposed to be featured, the date of the event is shown and then swiped to the left, changing the text to “Coming Soon”. Below, a clock can be seen, showing 11:00 AM, suggesting that indeed the main screen will be located there. It ends with the tagline “Be You” and then the LG logo. Some of the rumored specs for this device includes a QHD 5.7-inch display, Snapdragon 808 processor with 3 GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel one on the front, plus a fingerprint scanner. As for what seems to be a setup for dual cameras on front, there’s still no word on how might that work or what features will they bring, so we will have to wait a little longer for those details.
