EA has finally launched Need For Speed No Limits onto the Play Store globally as the game releases to everyone officially today, bringing in some fast paced action in the underground racing circuit. Those who have played previous Need For Speed games will notice some familiar gameplay, however, No Limits is a game built specifically for mobile from the ground up according to EA. With some pretty visuals and plenty of races to win, gamers will be looking to sink plenty of time into this one to climb the ranks of the underground racing community and build up a collection of highly customized cars. Keep in mind you will need an internet connection to play the game.
As a newcomer to the underground racing scene, you’ll start out with nothing but quickly after the first race you’re given a set of blueprints to build your first ride. This is where the story begins and through a series of races against other crews and their leaders you’ll climb the underground ladder by increasing your reputation. There will eventually be two types of races for you to engage in; the underground circuit races which you start off with, and the car series races which require you to have a certain type of car for each event type. There will also be tournaments from time to time for you to compete in, and all race types have the potential to drop materials which you can use to tune your car, as well as cash or gold. Certain races can also drop blueprints, and this is what you’ll need to expand your garage with new rides. Each car in the game will cost a certain amount of blueprints to build, and these can be found only within specific races.
Need For Speed No Limits is a free game but there are optional IAPs available which you can spend on anything from gold to buy materials and blueprints to more fuel so you can enter additional races. There will also be special timed events that appear every so often. and players will want to visit an area in game called the loading docks where you can open daily rewards which can contain basically anything you can collect in game. As this is a Need For Speed title you can also customize your cars from top to bottom with mod kits, new rims, paints jobs, and more. Logging in every day to play also has its incentives as there are daily assignments which are kind of like quests you can complete, and by doing so you’ll get a little bit of gold each time and some additional reputation which is like your experience to raise your level. The game contains fairly simple controls as the acceleration is set to automatic, and you’ll control the steering of the game just by tapping on the left and right sections of the screen. There are also additional control setups you can choose, and gesture moves like swiping up to hit the nitro and swiping down to drift around corners. Overall this is a great racing game experience and, if you can look past the IAPs and re-fueling system, you won’t be disappointed.
