Phiaton is a well-known premium audio gear manufacturer, famous among enthusiasts for their noise cancelling in-ear headphones that are rare in the market. Their products have a tendency to look sleek while doing it, an important feature of accessories like these. It seems they may have done it yet again with the launch of two new products to their line of wireless headphones and earphones – The Phiaton BT 110, and Phiaton BT 330 NC. The reason Bluetooth audio accessories are so famous, even with a sacrifice in sound quality is the convenience – fewer cables, less bulky, and more mobility, but active noise cancellation circuitry negates all these advantages with the added bulk, making the design cumbersome.
The Phiaton BT 330 NC is a stylish and compact on-ear headphone that works on Bluetooth 4.0 and in tune with the NC in its name-tag, it integrates active noise cancellation. It also features a unique fold and go design allowing travelers to pack conveniently and carry the headphones, maximizing portability. Diving into the details, it touts a noise cancellation of up to 95 percent, with multipoint connection for two devices at the same time, aptX and AAC support, and having a powerful 40 mm driver on board, producing an impressive bass response. It supports calling, and EverPlay-X keeps the audio going even when the battery’s running out. Technical specifications include an impedance of 32 ohms, frequency response of 20 Hz to 27 kHz, an impressive playtime of 14 hours with noise cancellation on, and 30 hours otherwise. Standby Time is also good, clocking 630 hours with noise cancellation turned off. The Phiaton BT 110 earbuds caters to a different audience, being a Bluetooth 4.0 enabled in- ear sports earbuds. The earbuds are IPX4 rated sweat and water resistant, a necessary feature for sports accessories, and has inline controls for Play, Pause, Stop, Rewind, Fast Forward, Volume Up and Volume Down. The design is ergonomic, with the compact set of earbuds delivering a powerful sound, without the hassle of dangles and cords. It also supports a multi-point connection of up to two devices and has a battery life of 125 hours on standby and 4.5 hours of call/play time. It comes with custom fit silicone tips that are comfortable. The ear tips come in four standard sizes (XS, S, M, L), and the RightFit+ earwings come in three sizes (S, M, L). The box also contains a carrying case, a USB charging cable and quick start guide. This new earbud sports a new feature called ShareMe which allows two sets of BT 110’s to listen to the same playlist.
