Video: Recently Announced LG Class Gets Unboxed

LG has unveiled a number of devices this year, but nowhere near as much as some other smartphone OEMs out there. The company’s G4 flagship is quite probably the most notable release by this Korea-based company. That being said, LG is planning to hold an event on October 1st, and the company will allegedly release the V10 smartphone which will sport a secondary ‘ticker’ display. We’ve seen this phone up close and personal already, and if the leaks are legit, this will be a very interesting handset, that’s for sure.

As we’re waiting for LG to release this phone, let’s talk more about the LG Class which was announced a couple of days ago. We’ll talk more about this device’s specs in a minute, but let’s first tackle the newly released info, shall we. The LG Class unboxing popped up on ‘UNDERkg’ YouTube channel, which gives us the best look at the device thus far. The video lasts a bit less than 5 minutes, and it gives you a really solid look at the hardware, plus it gets compared (size comparison) to a number of other devices in this video. Anyhow, if you’d like to check it out, it’s embedded down below.

The LG Class is a mid-range smartphone which sports a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS display, 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB of native storage (expandable up to 2TB via microSD card). This smartphone is fueled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core processor along with an Adreno 306 GPU for graphics. On the back of the phone, you’ll find a 13-megapixel snapper, while there’s an 8-megapixel snapper available up front. The 2,050mAh battery is also a part of this package, and same can be said about 4G LTE connectivity. Android Lollipop comes pre-installed here, with LG’s standard UI available on top of Google’s operating system. The device measures 142 x 71.8 x 7.4mm, while it weighs 147 grams.

That’s more or less it, the device is available in Korea already, through a number of carriers in a country, and it costs 399,300 won ($340) unlocked. The device is available in Blue Black, Silver and Gold color options, in case you were wondering.
