Huawei has had a very successful year as far as smartphone sales go. The company managed to increase their profits, and has released a number of really compelling offerings in 2015 which are selling quite well. One of the devices Huawei introduced in the last couple of months is the Honor 7, a high-end smartphone made out of metal. This phone initially launched in China, but Huawei also decided to release this handset in Europe a couple of weeks ago. Well, it was just a matter of time before we start seeing rumors / leaks regarding the ‘Plus’ variant of this device, and first info just surfaced.
Huawei has released both the Honor 6 and Honor 6 Plus handsets last year, so it was to be expected the company will do the same in Honor 7’s case as well. If you take a look at the embedded video down below, you’ll get to see the alleged Honor 7 Plus in the flesh, courtesy of @OnLeaks. The device actually resembles its sibling quite a lot, it is also made out of metal, it sports a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and its speaker(s) are located on the bottom of the device. The leaker has also mentioned that the device will quite probably sport a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, just like its predecessor, and that it will measure 151.4 x 76.3 x 7.9mm.
The Huawei Honor 6 sported a 5-inch display, while the Honor 6 Plus shipped with a 5.5-inch panel. The Honor 7 sports a 5.2-inch display, and according to this rumor, the Honor 7 Plus will comes with a 5.5-inch panel. This info is quite probably accurate, but there’s always a possibility Huawei might opt to include a slightly bigger display in the Honor 7 Plus, a 5.7-inch panel maybe? This is only a guess on our part, a possibility, though the device will quite probably sport a 5.5-inch panel. You can expect the Honor 7 Plus to offer a slight spec bump in comparison to the Honor 7 as well, and if the Honor 6 Plus is any indication, the Honor 7 Plus won’t launch that soon. Its predecessor was announced back in December 2014, so this handset probably won’t launch for another couple of months, unless Huawei decides to mix things up.
