Fleksy Launches Theme Builder As Part Of New Update

One of the best parts about third party keyboard apps for Android is that they sometimes offer a decent level of customization. Not on the same level as the Android operating system as a whole, of course, but they do offer some abilities to tweak things just right to fit each person’s needs and tastes. Fleksy is one of those keyboard apps having the options for a wide variety of different theme choices as well as options to augment your keyboard experience with things like the number row, an integrated search for GIFs and imojis, color pops when you tap on keys and more.

If you’re an existing user of Fleksy then things just got a lot better with the most recent update, as Fleksy now lets users create and customize their very own keyboard themes via the theme builder. You can set it up to create just about anything you want with various options like a background image, background color, key color, and more. This option can be accessed under the theme tab and by pressing the “+” button. If users end up creating multiple themes they’ll be located here for future use as personally built themes have their own category listed as “my themes” to make them easy to locate.

Aside from the few options listed above, the new theme builder also lets users tweak things like key outline color, key pop icon, key pop background color, auto corrected word color, suggestion words color, as well as color options for the homerow/spacebar, button background, pressed button background and button shadow. All of these options make the theme builder fairly in depth, and since there’s no limit to how many themes you can create users could end up spending quite a bit of time with this new feature. Fleksy is now a free app where as it used to cost users a few bucks to install, and in addition to the loads of available free themes and the themes users build themselves, there’s quite a selection of paid theme options too. What’s more, is that Fleksy allows users to share their theme creations with others. The update is already live in the Play Store if you haven’t update the app yet, or if you’re a new user and want to give Fleksy a try.
