The Gigantic 18.4-Inch Galaxy View Tablet Leaks Yet Again

Samsung’s Galaxy View tablet has been rumored for quite some time now. This huge 18.4-inch tablet has also leaked a number of times as well, and the ultimate leak popped up yesterday. Samsung’s upcoming tablet has been listed on Adorama (US-based retailer) yesterday, and was even available for pre-order as well. The listing is removed now, but it shared the tablet’s full spec sheet along with a number of official press images from Samsung. This listing suggested that Samsung plans to announce this thing really soon, and that will probably happen in the coming weeks. While we’re waiting for the official announcement another leak surfaced, this time it comes from @evleaks, a well-known tipster, read on.

The tipster has shared a new image of the Galaxy View, an image which shows the device from most angles. You get to see the tablet’s front and back side, as well as its right-hand side. The kickstand built into this tablet is quite visible in this image, as well as the handle with which you’ll be able to carry this tablet like a briefcase basically. The physical home button is not present here, which makes this the first Samsung-branded tablet not to sport a physical home button. This makes all the sense in the world though, there’s no point in including a physical home button in such a huge device.

Anyhow, according to yesterday’s leak, the Galaxy View will sport an 18.4-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card). The device will be powered by the Exynos 7580 octa-core SoC (also called ‘Carmed2’ by Adorama), while a 5,700mAh battery will be available on the inside. The 2.1-megapixel shooter will be located on the front side of this tablet, and there will be no rear-facing camera available here. It seems like Samsung will offer both the Wi-Fi only variant, and the 4G LTE model. Android Lollipop will come pre-installed on this huge device, and according to Adorama’s listing, the tablet won’t be cheap at all, the tablet was offered for $599 at Adorama. That’s pretty much it, all we can do now is wait for Samsung to announce this giant piece of tech, stay tuned.
