LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P handsets have been announced back on September 29th by Google. These are the company’s newest Nexus devices, and they’ve been available for order in select regions for a while now. That being said, Google has announced both devices in India during the company’s press event today. The Nexus 6P, much like the Nexus 5X, was listed in the Google Play Store in India for quite some time now. Google has announced this device in the country and they’ve also shared its availability details. The Nexus 6P will be available both online and offline in India, but will be exclusive to Flipkart as far as online availability goes. The Nexus 6P will be available in two variants in India, the 32 and 64GB models, while the 128GB model won’t be available in the country. The 16GB model is priced at Rs. 39,999 ($616), while the 32GB variant costs Rs. 42,999 ($662). If you purchase Nexus 6P in India, you’ll also get a free Chromecast / Bluetooth speaker, and there’s also a double data offer provided by Airtel. The device comes in Aluminum and Graphite color options, and it will be available for pre-order from Flipkart starting today, while it will go on sale starting October 21st.
The Huawei Nexus 6P sports a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM and 32/64GB of non-expandable internal storage in India’s case. The phablet is powered by the Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core SoC along with an Adreno 430 GPU. The 12.3-megapixel shooter (1.55um pixel size) is available on the back of this device, and an 8-megapixel snapper can be found up front. The dual-LED, dual tone flash is also available on the back of this phone, and same can be said about the Laser Autofocus and the fingerprint scanner. The non-removable 3,450mAh battery is also a part of this package, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed here. The phablet measures 159.3 x 77.8 x 7.3mm, while it weighs 178 grams. The Nexus 6P also has a set of front-facing stereo speakers, which is greatly appreciated, and the phone is made out of metal.
