Inspired by similar games played by the Aztecs and French Royalty, moving these pieces around the game board is simple and soothing. A great game to play while you’re trying to kill a little time or just relax, Connect it! Wooden Puzzle can provide a tricky challenge for both casual players as well as those that are used to such puzzle games, too. It’s packed with 60+ different levels, and there’s a hints system for those that need a little help here and there.
To get started with Connect it! Wooden Puzzle, all you need to do is download it from the Play Store, and launch the game.
As you can see at the bottom, there’s a progress percentage, which is a fun touch. For those just starting with the game, there are simple instructions on how to actually play the game.
The earlier levels start off pretty easily as you can see:
At the end of each level, there’s a plain-speaking congratulation for getting through it, and while some might see this as overly-simple, I quite liked the human touch here.
As you get into the later levels, things get a little more difficult, and the size of the puzzles, including the pieces that you need to move as well.
Should you get stuck on any of these levels, there are a certain amount of different hints that you get access to. Here I have used a hint to move one of the pieces, and it has turned to stone to indicate that:
Hints are where the game’s in-app purchases come in, and should you need more hints that provided, you can purchase some of them.
There’s a good variety of levels on offer here, and you can always replay those that you’ve already completed to make sure that you get the full experience.
Of course, some of the later levels become really quite difficult, indeed.
Connect it! Wooden Puzzle is a good puzzle game that’s a lot of fun, and while it’s not the sort of fun that other Android games are, Connect it! Wooden Puzzle has a lot going for it. It’s packed full of different levels that provide varying levels of difficulty, and for those that prefer a calmer sort of Android game, this is it. Puzzle veterans will find a lot to like about this as well, even though it starts off fairly easy, things quickly ramp up, and even some of the smaller puzzles can be quite tricky still. Graphically, the game looks okay, but it’s not exactly designed to be the most 3D-intensive title out there, either.

- Speed (4/5) – The pacing of the game is good, and it runs nice and smoothly, too.
- Theme (4/5) – It might not feature the same sort of 3D effects that other games do, but this isn’t the sort of game to do so. It channels calm and considered gameplay, and it looks the part.
- Features (4/5) – Connect it! Wooden Puzzle might not be the right game for everyone, but for both puzzle fans as well as those looking for something a little more relaxing, there’s a lot to love about the game.
- Overall (4/5) – A solid Android title, Connect it! Wooden Puzzle is good puzzle fun that doesn’t ask too much of the player, while at the same time offering a good challenge, too.

- Regularly-added levels would keep the hardcore puzzle fans coming back time after time.
All-in-all, there’s a lot to like about Connect it! Wooden Puzzle and puzzle fans will really like it, once they get past the initially very easy levels. A hardcore difficulty for those players in particular would be nice, but there’s no telling whether or not this will be added. As for casual gamers, Connect it! Wooden Puzzle is both simple and pleasing to play through. Overall though, this is a game that’s all about being calm and easy to play no matter where you are or when.
