Vodafone Enhances Calling & Texting With An Exclusive App

While fewer calls and SMS messages are being used in favor of similar services that work with an internet connection. Now, Vodafone is launching an app to be used exclusively by its clients that enhances the experience of calling or sending regular text messages. It’s called Call+ & Message+ and it allows users to add content while calling making them more interactive. While the carrier had already launched their Wi-Fi calling service, they specify that the calls and SMS will be charged from the tariff plan, but the chat messages and multimedia content will need a Wi-Fi or mobile connection, so Call+ is not a VoIP service.

Call+ can replace your regular dialer so that the app is used as a default. Some of the benefits of using this app are the possibility to add an importance level, a subject, a location or a picture for the call, so it would be visible on the other end before they answer. Users will be able to share pictures, locations, contacts or any file without leaving a call, also by switching to video mode, users will be able to share their surroundings in real time. When a call is not answered, users will be able to leave a voice message or a text message, which will be visible on the Missed Call section and all of the calling information will be visible on logs.

Message+ is the app that wants to replace the default message service and brings enhanced features for SMS. Users will be able to send or receive SMS or Chat in a unified inbox experience without the need to switch between different apps. Users will be able to text any of their contacts from any network and any kind of message will appear inside a message thread for each contact. Images, audio, and videos could be shared with their contacts and some stickers could be added to help users to express themselves in a more fun way, the recipients don’t need to have Message+ installed. Some Add-Ons are also available for this app and Group Chats are also available.

Some recent phones like the Xperia Z5 or the Xperia Z3 will already have this app installed and all of the features will work with them while users with other phones will be able to download this app from the Google Play Store, but some of the features might not work with every device.
