YouTube Launches Local Versions For More Countries

YouTube is one of the most popular video sharing services, it became really popular with videos uploaded by individuals who decided to share their original content, but some media corporations started to use this site to share their content as well. This service has been improved over time with more features in its desktop platform and its mobile app. YouTube’s Music Key is intended for those who watch official music videos and they don’t want to be interrupted by advertisements while YouTube Kids has content dedicated exclusively for children, giving parents more control towards what their kids are watching.

While the service launched in the US, local country versions of the service have been launched in many countries, so that users from each country can upload videos with content relevant to that specific country and those who are looking for something to watch can find them more easily as the videos would appear right on their homepage, which also benefits creators of original content as they could end up earning more money. This makes sense, as more than 80 percent of the daily views come from outside the US. Now, regional versions have been added for seven different countries including the Adriatics, Baltics, Bulgaria, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Belarus, so now a total of 85 countries have their own local versions.

This doesn’t mean that the content is exclusive, so users from any country can still watch content from any other country. Some of the most popular channels that could be discovered include DynastyofCat and its DIY videos or broadcasts from TheSevenChannel in Kazakhstan. Dima Ermuzevich from Belarus reaches more than 400K fans at the young age of 17 and Grand Production is a channel that specializes in Folk Music with many fans from the Balkans and other countries as well.

The creators could become partners so they can access to many tools and resources like the YouTube Creator Academy for those starting and the Creator Community is a space to find collaborations and meet each other. As their content gets better, users can earn money for their channels and the rest of the world can benefit from their talent.
