Lots happened this past week besides Halloween that you may have missed, and if that is the case we’ve got you covered and have rounded up the top stories from the past week. The biggest things to happen revolved around Motorola’s and OnePlus’ new phone launches, with Motorola officially announcing both the DROID Turbo 2 as well as the DROID Maxx 2, both phones also being Verizon Wireless exclusives. Later in the week OnePlus officially announced the OnePlus X, their second phone of the year and their third phone overall, aimed at those who wanted something with a smaller display and a more mid-range set of specs as well as a mid-range price point.
Also unveiled this past week was the Galaxy View tablet from Samsung, which comes equipped with a monster size 18-inch display. When it comes to phones, although the LG V10 was already announced prior to this past week, LG did finally announce that the devices would begin shipping in the U.S. Google also had a fairly big announcement that Android and Chrome OS would merge together in some form by 2017. Google also launched YouTube Red this past week, its ad-free version of YouTube that costs $9.99 a month.
