Samsung’s ‘Galaxy A’ devices are all over the place lately. The Galaxy A3, A5, A7 and A9 have been leaking like crazy recently. The 2nd-gen Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 devices have all been benchmarked at least once, and some of them have already been certified. Earlier today, the Galaxy A7 has actually been certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC), and now we have some additional info about the Galaxy A9, read on.
The Galaxy A9 has actually surfaced on Geekbench two days ago, and it has now surfaced on the company’s official website. The listing has popped up on Samsung Iran website, and the listing does reveal both the design and specifications of this handset. Now, first and foremost, this listing reveals that the phone will launch on December 1st. though we don’t know if that’s a general launch date or Iran launch date. That being said, let’s check out the phone’s specs, shall we.
The Galaxy A9 will feature a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) Super AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). The 16-megpaixel shooter will be located on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel snapper will be available up front. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on this phone along with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI which will be installed on top of it.
The Galaxy A9 is made out of metal, and sports a non-removable battery on the inside (all-metal design). The phone will be available in Gold, White and Black color options, and you can check out its design in the listing itself. That being said, this is a mid-range handset, though some might consider it a mid to high-end phone.
