YU Yutopia To Offer Fast Charging, Great Battery Life

YU is one of the more interesting companies out there. This smartphone OEM is actually owned by Micromax, the largest India-based smartphone manufacturer. YU hasn’t been around for long, but they’ve managed to sell quite a few devices, mainly thanks to great build quality, solid specs and very low prices. This company has released a number of devices thus far, entry-level and mid-range phones, and we were wondering when will they release a flagship phone. Well, that will happen soon considering the amount of rumors we’ve seen thus far, and even the company’s CEO confirmed that the device is on its way.

That being said, YU has released a few more teasers, confirming more aspects of this device. The company has posted a photo on their Twitter account with the following tagline: “Yutopia can Quick-Charge while the kids figure out what’s 1+2,”, after which they’ve tweeted the following caption: “Big batteries, small charging capabilities. 3 hours wasted #WhySettle #RaisetheBar”. So, the Yutopia will offer a Quick Charging capability, and it seems like its battery life will be quite good as well, at least according to the company.

Now, according to previous info, the YU Yutopia will ship in 3 and 4GB RAM variants. The phone is said to sport a 5.2-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display along with 32GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core SoC will probably fuel this phone along with an Adreno 430 GPU for graphics. The 21-megapixel snapper will be available on the back of this phone, and an 8-megapixel shooter will be located up front. 4G LTE connectivity will also be a part of this package, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will come pre-installed on the device. Cyanogen OS will also be a part of this package, it will come installed on top of Google’s operating system, and the device will quite probably going to be made out of metal.

Now, keep in mind that these specs haven’t been confirmed just yet, and it is possible that YU opts for the upcoming Helio X20 or Snapdragon 820 SoC in the end. Either way, this phone will launch in the coming weeks, and we’ll make sure to let you know once that happens, so stay tuned for that.
