2015 was a big year for wearables but 2016 is poised to be even bigger as more and more consumers adopt a wearable platform to integrate into their daily lives. Included in everything that’s going to be released over the course of the new year will be more new smartwatch options with many of these being shown off at CES this coming week. Getting an early headstart on the announcement days ahead of the event is 3PLus, having just unveiled a new smartwatch and announced that they will have new connected wearables coming in 2016. On top of all of this the new devices from 3PLus will be on display at CES for those who are attending and want to check out the new devices.
3PLus will have four wearables in total on display during CES, and included in a brand new smartwatch from the company called the 3PLus Time, which they boast carries the “classic and timeless design of a traditional timepiece” with the addition of smart, connected features to make a watch for the modern age. It features an OLED display for viewing smartphone notifications like calls, texts, emails, and social media alerts, and it can track your steps, caloric burn, and monitor your sleep as well as tell the time. 3PLus plans to retail the Time for $159.99 with the leather band option, and $20 more will get you a steel band.
There’s also a second smartwatch called the 3PLus Touch, featuring a squared off display instead of round watch face like the Time, although it still utilizes the OLED display technology. The Touch will have similar features to the Time, and it will retail for $119.99 when it launches next year. In addition to the two smartwatches, 3PLus is also announcing two activity trackers called the 3PLus Lite and the 3PLus Swipe HR, both of which are planned to retail for $39.99 and $99.99 respectively. Both trackers will be capable of tracking caloric burn, steps, and monitoring sleep patterns, but only the 3PLus Lite will come with an IP67 rating meaning it’s water and dust proof. Alternatively, only the 3PLus Swipe HR comes with a heart-rate range alert feature out of the two, so depending on what consumers need and/or want there will be a varied selection of options coming from 3PLus to look out for. All four devices will have a companion app to download with compatibility across Android and iOS.
