10. Acer Chromebook C740

In spite of its position on the list, this is one of the newer Chromebooks to come through. The Acer Chromebook C740 is the latest in the Chromebook C7 range and brings with it a tried and tested formula. This is a smaller Chromebook, as it is one which makes use of an 11.6-inch display with a 1366 x 768 resolution. The rest of the specs include 4GB RAM, an Intel Celeron (3205U) dual-core processor and 16GB storage. That said, for the size of the Chromebook, this is currently one of the more expensive smaller Chromebooks.

9. HP Chromebook 14

If 11.6-inches is just too small and you are in need of a bigger screen, then you can’t go wrong with HP’s Chromebook. This is the HP Chromebook 14 and as the name suggests, is one which comes equipped with a 14-inch display. However, the resolution on this one is not quite as high as some of the others and instead makes due with a 1366 x 768 resolution. On the inside, you can expect 2GB RAM and an NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor powering the device.

8. Toshiba Chromebook 2

Toshiba’s latest Chromebook has continually proved to be a popular option among Chromebook owners and is a second generation device. This is the Toshiba Chromebook 2 and one which brings to the table a nicely-sized 13.3-inch display which makes use of a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Moving to the inside and this one offers 4GB RAM and an Intel Celeron processor.

7. Samsung Chromebook 2

Samsung’s latest Chromebook has continued to be a dominant option for those looking for power and performance. This is the Samsung Chromebook 2 and one which is available in two major variants depending on your needs. The smaller option offers an 11.6-inch display with a 1366 x 768 resolution, along with 2GB RAM and a Samsung Exynos 5 octa 5420 processor. The larger option comes equipped with a 13.3-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, along with 4GB RAM and a Samsung Exynos 5 octa 5800 processor.

6. Lenovo 100s Chromebook

While most of the Chromebooks on this list are designed to offer the best specs or the biggest screens, this option from Lenovo looks to offer you the best price on a Chromebook, as it is one which only comes with a $169 price tag. If you are looking for more of an entry level option and one which will only cost you an entry level price, then this is a great option to go for. The Lenovo 100s Chromebook comes with a smaller 11.6-inch display while on the inside, you can expect 2GB RAM and an Intel Celeron (N2840) processor

5. Acer Chromebook 13

It is no secret that Acer brings variety to the Chromebook market as they are one of the companies who makes a selection of Chromebooks available for different needs. Most notable in screen size. If you are after a big, but not too big Chromebook, then the Acer Chromebook 13 and its 13.3-inch display might be just what you are looking for. The rest of the specs are not bad either and include a choice between a 2GB RAM/16GB storage combo or a 4GB RAM/32GB storage combo.

4. ASUS Chromebook Flip

This is one of the newer Chromebooks to come to the market and is one which brings with it a fresher approach. The ASUS Chromebook Flip is designed to offer you all the experience of a Chromebook but wrapped within a far more portable shell, as this is a Chromebook which will let you use it as a tablet as well. In terms of the specs, on offer is a 10.1-inch display 4GB RAM, 16GB storage and a Rockchip Processor.

3. Dell Chromebook 13

Dell has maintained a high position on this list all year thanks to their high-spec variant of their 11-inch Chromebook. However, more recently the company has released another Chromebook which comes with a bigger size. This is the Dell Chromebook 13 and is one which offers a really good quality build and some seriously high end specs. Well, it offers a few combinations of specs so you can choose how high end you would like to go. While this is one of the more spec heavy Chromebooks, it is also one of the more expensive ones with the lowest variant which comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage starting at the $399 marker. Still, if you are after a solid and well performing Chromebook, this is a good option to consider.

2. Chromebook Pixel

Each month the Chromebook Pixel just misses out on first place and with good reason. While the specs do declare this as the best Chromebook that money can buy, it is one which requires substantial payment. Coming with a starting price of $999, the Chromebook Pixel just pushes the price boundary for too many people. That said, depending on which model you opt for, you can expect either 8GB RAM, 32GB storage and an Intel i5 processor or 16GB RAM, 64GB internal storage and an Intel i7 processor.

1. Acer Chromebook 15

Closing out the top ten in December, is a Chromebook which has maintained the top position since its launch. While this is a Chromebook which does not come with the absolute best specs or the absolute best build, it is one which offers a great choice at a very competitive price. The Acer Chromebook 15 makes use of a very large 15.6-inch display and as a result, is one of the best options for those looking for a bigger Chrome OS experience. In terms of the specs, you have a variety to choose from with the main differences being the RAM and storage options. Whichever option you go for, you are getting a good performing Chromebook at a good price.
