Samsung has, for the first time ever, announced four flagship devices in one year. The company has unveiled their Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge flagships back in March, and the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus phablets in August. All of these phones are made out of metal, and are powered by the company’s Exynos 7420 14nm 64-bit octa-core SoC, while their rear-facing camera sensor is also identical. That being said, the company has introduced the two aforementioned phablets in August, but not both of them are available in Europe, read on.
Samsung has, for some reason, decided not to release the Galaxy Note 5 in Europe, only the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus (as far as phablets go). This seemed like an odd move from the get-go, and we were waiting for more info from the company. We’ve already seen a number of rumors regarding this, and the latest report actually says the Galaxy Note 5 will launch in Europe in early 2016. The report from Gadgette claims that the device will roll out in the UK in January, and other countries will follow soon after. Android Central more or less confirmed this by saying the phone will land in Europe in early 2016, though they were not as specific as Gadgette. We still don’t know how much will the Note 5 cost in Europe, but you can expect a premium price here which will be comparable to Galaxy S6 Edge Plus’ pricing.
The Galaxy Note 5 sports a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display, 4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of non-expandable internal storage. The device is fueled by the Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core SoC, and a non-removable 3,000mAh battery can be found on the inside. The 16-megapixel OIS camera is located on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel shooter can be found up front. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with the company’s TouchWiz UI on top of it. The Galaxy Note 5 ships with the company’s S Pen stylus which brings a whole lot of software features to the device. The Note 5 measures 153.2 x 76.1 x 7.6mm, while it weighs 171 grams.
