Xiaomi and Huawei are the two largest smartphone manufacturers in China. What do I mean by largest? Well, these two companies hold the most market in China at the moment, and have had an extremely successful year. Huawei has managed to sell 100 million devices already this year, and projections say that Xiaomi will sell well over 70 million before the end of the year. That being said, Xiaomi has released a number of really interesting products thus far, and the company has also expanded the availability of their products. Well, it seems like their devices will reach even more regions soon, read on.

Xiaomi-branded smartphones will, for the first time ever, become available in the Middle East and North Africa. The Dubai-based company called Task FZCO will release a number of Xiaomi-branded devices in the aforementioned regions starting next month. Saudi Arabia and the UAE will get the devices at the beginning of next year, and the rest of GCC and South Africa will get them soon after that. The Task FZCO company is actually Xiaomi’s official distributor for the Middle East and North Africa region. The company will probably sell Xiaomi’s devices both via online and offline (retail) channels in these regions. “We are very excited to bring Xiaomi’s top-quality smartphones to the Middle East and North Africa in January 2016, as we believe that they will be a very attractive option for consumers in the region,” said Givemore Gurira, Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Task FZCO.

Now, Task FZCO did not reveal what devices will they sell, but we’re assuming that Xiaomi’s more entry-level and mid-range handsets will be offered at first. Redmi 2, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 3 and Mi 4 perhaps? We’re only guessing at this point though, so keep that in mind. The company also did not mention any other products aside from smartphones, so don’t expect them to release smart TVs, fitness trackers or anything of the sort. Either way, the phones will be on sale starting January 2016, so we’ll have more information then, stay tuned.
