Huawei has become world’s third largest smartphone manufacturer in 2015. This China-based company has had a great year, and they’re looking to improve upon that in 2016. They’ve released a number of devices last year, and the most notable ones are probably their flagship Mate 8 phablet, Huawei Watch smartwatch and the P8 flagship line of devices. We’ve already seen a couple of Huawei P9 leaks, and the latest one (which arrived a couple of weeks ago) claimed that the device will arrive in March and that it will sport 4GB of RAM, 5.2-inch QHD AMOLED display and the Kirin 950 SoC.
That being said, a new leak surfaced quite recently, and it shares info about all three P9 devices, the Huawei P9, P9 Lite and P9 Max. According to this information, the Huawei P9 Lite will sport a 5-inch display, the P9 will ship with a 5.2-inch panel, and the P9 Max will arrive with a huge 6.8-inch display. This leak also says that the P9 will be fueled by the Kirin 950 processor, and that the company will implement two 13-megapixel rear-facing cameras into this device. Now, all of this sounds quite plausible, but this rumor also mentions that the P9 will sport 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM, which is quite staggering. We’ve seen a similar leak surface quite recently, claiming that the Oppo Find 9 will also ship with 6GB of RAM on the inside.
This info comes from a China-based analyst, Pan Jiutang, and we cannot confirm if it’s legit or not, but it sure sounds interesting. The Huawei P9 will quite probably also sport a metal build, and according to the analyst, Huawei might showcase this smartphone this month during CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas. Now, that info sounds even less probable considering that the P9 will probably launch in March or April, but we’ll see. In any case, the Huawei P9 will be a flagship device, and we’ll make sure to keep you in the loop. Chances are we’ll see quite a few additional rumors by the time this device gets announced, so stay tuned.
