The Galaxy S7 has been leaking all over the internet for quite some time now. We’ve seen tons of rumors / leaks last year, and chances are we’ll see even more this year before the device gets announced. The Galaxy S7 is expected to arrive at the end of next month, during MWC, and if leaked materials are to be believed, it will be quite similar to the Galaxy Note 5 as far as the design is concerned. We do expect significant improvements in terms of software though, Samsung Mobile’s new chief seems anxious to focus on that part of the ecosystem.
That being said, a new report surfaced, and according to it, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge have been certified in Indonesia. If you take a look at the image down below, you’ll get to see what seems to be part of the certification document of the Samsung SM-G930FD (Galaxy S7), and the Samsung SM-G935FD (Galaxy S7 Edge). Now, keep in mind that the ‘D’ stand for dual-SIM here, so these are dual SIM variants apparently. This, in a way, gives us hope that both of these phones will be available in dual-SIM variants, which will surely make some of you happy.
Now, a while back, a report surfaced saying that Samsung plans to introduce the Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 Edge+ at the same time next month. Well, only two out of three were certified in Indonesia, so this could mean two things. First, the Galaxy S7 Edge+ won’t launch alongside the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, or, second, the device won’t be available in a dual-SIM variant. Both fo these options are a possibility at this point, so we’ll let you choose which one to believe.
The Galaxy S7 is rumored to sport a 5.1-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display, along with 4GB of RAM and various internal storage options. The phone will launch in both Snapdragon 820 and Exynos 8890 SoC variants, if rumors are to be believed, of course. The company’s 12.2-megapixel BRITECELL sensor will reportedly going to be implemented on the back of this phone, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed here with the company’s TouchWiz UI available on top of it. The phone itself will be made out of metal and glass once again, and don’t expect it to offer a removable battery. Keep in mind that these specs are still just rumored, so take this info with a grain of salt.
