Google Now Offering 75% Off Google Play Top Albums

When Google does promotions, it tends to do them in bundles.  Google used to have fairly regular sales but nowadays it feels like they’re more random than anything, and so today marks the beginning of a new random Play Store sale.  The first that was spotted was the 75% off sale for any rental on the Google Play Movies service, an offer that’s sure to help relieve cabin fever this winter.  Google is also holding a 75% off sale on select albums on the Google Play Store, a sale that’s slightly different from the movies one because of the selection.  While you can rent any movie for 75% off, you can only get 75% off 28 selected albums on the store, found on the special page linked below.

We spotted the sale when perusing the Google Play Store, and it’s the banner up top that tipped us off to the sale.  Google often uses these banners up top to display sales and other promotions, and it’s almost always worth it to give a quick scroll through the carousel before jumping in to the rest of the store.  While this is a limited list of albums on sale, it’s likely you’re going to find something worth grabbing given the list of artists and albums on here.  Noteworthy sale items include albums by J. Cole, Adele, David Bowie, Fetty Wap, Skrillex, Paramore and Daft Punk to name a few.  Even soundtracks for Creed and Star Wars: The Force Awakens are on here, so it’s quite a nice little list of albums to check out.

The average price sits somewhere around $2-3, so this is a pretty darn good bargain no matter how you slice it.  It is only restricted to one of the 28 listed albums though, so there’s no way to grab everything on here for a super discounted price.  Even still you’ll need to use this coupon by January 29th, 2016 or lose it forever.  Residents in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany and Mexico are eligible for this promotion, and of course if you’ve been stocking up that credit from the Google Opinion Rewards app you can use those here too.  Have fun!
