The Galaxy S7 leaks have been dime a dozen lately. Samsung’s upcoming flagship has been leaking for months now, and we’ve seen all sorts of different information come our way. The latest rumors say that the Galaxy S7 will resemble the Galaxy Note 5, which means that the phone won’t look that much different than the company’s 2015 flagship lineup. The potential front panel of the device also leaked recently, and today we have a new leaked to share with you, giving us a far better look at the alleged design of this smartphone, read on.
uSwitch and OnLeaks have partnered up again to bring us new render images and video of the upcoming Galaxy S7. According to the source, this is the standard variant of the device, and if accurate, this thing really does resemble Samsung’s already available devices, though it offers a somewhat different shape than the Galaxy Note 5. The source has also shared Galaxy S7’s alleged dimensions, saying that the phone will measure 142.5 x 69.5 x 7.9mm, which means that it will be 1mm thicker than the Galaxy S6 which measures 6.9mm. Could this mean we’ll see a bigger battery implemented in the Galaxy S7? Well, we sure hope so.
The source claims that the Galaxy S7’s display will measure 5.1-inches, not 5.2-inches as some other rumors have been reporting. The 2.5D curved display will be available on top of Samsung’s Super AMOLED panel, and the device won’t sport a Type-C port it seems. If you take a look at the images and video down below, you’ll get to see the device itself. You might notice that the overall shape of the device is somewhat different than Note 5’s, this handset offers a slightly more rounded design, or so it seems.
According to previous rumors, the Galaxy S7 will sport a Super AMOLED QHD (2560 x 1440) display along with 4GB of RAM and various internal storage options. The phone is expected to ship in two variants with either the Snapdragon 820 SoC, or the Exynos 8890. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will almost certainly come pre-installed here with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI available on top of it, and the loudspeaker will, once again, going to be available on the bottom of the phone along with the charging port, headphone jack and a microphone. The Galaxy S7 is expected to arrive at the end of February, so stay tuned.
