Sony Xperia C6 Images Surface, No Side Bezels In Sight

Sony Mobile hasn’t been doing all that well lately, well, the company’s finances haven’t been alright for a long time now. They just can’t seem to sell enough devices, and their income reflects that. Sony tends to release a number of smartphones a year, and the Xperia Z5 line of devices was the company’s most notable release in 2015. Sony has introduced the Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact and Z5 Premium back in September, and considering the company’s release schedule, the Xperia Z6 might launch in only a couple of months.

The Xperia Z3+, aka Xperia Z4, has been announced back in May, which means the Xperia Z6 might arrive in that very same timeframe. We haven’t seen many Xperia Z6 leaks thus far, and while we’re waiting for more info regarding the company’s upcoming flagship(s), one of Sony’s Xperia C devices surfaced. If you take a look at the provided images, you’ll get to see the alleged Xperia C6 (Ultra) in the flesh. This handset is expected to succeed the Xperia C5 Ultra which arrived back in August, and it is pictured in a Rose Gold color option here. Looking at these images, you’ll notice that the phone has basically no bezel on the sides, only the metallic frame is present there, and the 2.5D curved glass seems to be placed on top of the display. The device will sport on-screen buttons, as you can see, and its alleged specs surfaced as well, read on.

According to the source, this device will be fueled by MediaTek’s Helio X10 64-bit octa-core processor running at 2.0GHz, this is MediaTek’s newest mid-range SoC. The phone will probably sport a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, even though some sources say that this is actually the Xperia C6 Ultra, but the phone seems to be too small to be a phablet, at least in these images. The Xperia C6 will be made out of metal, and a dedicated camera shutter button will be available here as well. The Xperia C6 is expected to arrive in the coming months, but we still don’t know when exactly. If any new info pops up, we’ll let you know, stay tuned.
