T-Mobile's Revised Simple Prepaid Plans Are Now Live

T-Mobile is a company who often enough hits the headlines for news which is not always directly related to the customer experience. However, they are also a company which hits the headlines for their various measures and uncarrier moves that are designed to cut down costs for the consumer. Along with some of the most competitive prepaid plans on offer, the company has also included additional services like Binge On and Music Freedom which are both designed to whitelist data charges and essentially, help customer data allowances go a little further.

In terms of their prepaid plans, a couple of weeks ago it was reported that it looked as though T-Mobile were preparing to unveil a number of new Simple Prepaid options and following on from that news, it now looks as though those options are now live. The T-Mobile website is now displaying the new Simply Prepaid plans and the adjustments further looks to add data without adding additional fees. To recap, prior to the changes, T-Mobile prepaid customers could opt for either a $40 plan which came with 1GB data, a $50 plan which come with 3GB data and a top tier $60 plan which came with 5GB data. These have now changed and reflect a greater level of data for the same price. So the new $40 plan now comes with 3GB data, the $50 plan now comes with 5GB data and the top tier $60 plan now comes with 10GB data. That is, high-speed data as all the plans come with unlimited data, but with GB that levels dictate the amount of high-speed data on offer before the high-speed cap kicks in.

For those who are less interested in having any data at all, there is also a $25 plan which offers unlimited talk and text, but no data. Which would be ideal for those who find themselves primarily using their devices when connected to Wi-Fi. On a separate note, it was reported earlier today that T-Mobile might be starting a new BOGO sale on smartphones from tomorrow. Although, strictly speaking, if the reports are correct, it won’t be an actual BOGO promotion but instead, a but one and get a second for half price sale on smartphones.
