The Mobile World Congress (MWC) is right around the corner, and by the looks of it, we’ll see quite a few flagships announced at the trade show. Samsung plans to introduce their Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone, while LG will announce their G5 flagship at that very same day. Xiaomi is planning to introduce their Mi 5 flagship on February 24th, and by the looks of it, HTC won’t be announcing anything of the sort during the show.
According to various reports, HTC will introduce the company’s M10 flagship after the Mobile World Congress. This could mean that they intend on announcing the phone in March or April, and we’ve seen quite a few rumors and leaks when it comes to that phone. A render leaked quite recently, allegedly showcasing the upcoming HTC One M10 aka ‘Perfume’ handset. The leaked handset offers a physical home button, which is not all that surprising considering that previous reports said that the phone will resemble the One A9 quite a bit, and that handset offers a physical home button. Previous rumors also said that the M10 will ship with a 5.1-inch display, but LlabTooFeR says that’s not entirely accurate. Instead of a 5.1-inch display, the phone will allegedly feature a 5.2-inch QHD panel.
By the looks of it, the HTC One M10, or whatever HTC ends up calling it, will represent a completely different design than the One M9, presuming rumors and leaks are accurate, of course. Aside from the aforementioned physical home button, the phone is said to ship with a Snapdragon 820 SoC, and 4GB of RAM on the inside, while it will also be available in various internal storage options, as it’s the case every year. As far as camera sensors are concerned, rumors say that the M10 will ship with a 12-megapixel UltraPixel snapper. We don’t have any info when the battery or speakers are concerned, but we will let you know if anything pops up in the coming days / weeks. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is expected to come out of the box here, with HTC’s Sense UI installed on top of it. Stay tuned for additional info, we’ll report back soon.
