Pre-Order the Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge at AT&T Now

As was announced on Sunday at Unpacked, pre-orders have now opened up for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge in the US. AT&T is the latest carrier to open up pre-orders, after Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint. AT&T is only offering the devices in black onyx and gold platinum. So if you were looking forward to the titanium silver, like many of us, then you’re out of luck. You’ll have to import it from elsewhere, unfortunately, to get that color.

AT&T has the Galaxy S7 priced at $695 full retail or starting at $23.17 per month, depending on which AT&T Next plan you decide to go with (Next 12, 18 or 24). While the Galaxy S7 Edge is priced at $795 full retail, with monthly prices starting at $26.50, again this depends on the AT&T Next plan you choose. The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge share a lot of specs including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, 12MP camera around back and microSD card slots. The Galaxy S7 features a 5.1-inch QHD sAMOLED display while the Galaxy S7 Edge has a 5.5-inch QHD sAMOLED display, battery wise, we’re looking at a 3,000mAh in the Galaxy S7 with a 3600mAh in the Galaxy S7 Edge. Both of which are pretty sizeable upgrades over the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. The other obvious difference between the two is the dual-edge curved display on the Galaxy S7 Edge, while the Galaxy S7 has the back curved – similar to the Galaxy Note 5 – but a flat front.

Prices from AT&T are about in line with the other carriers, although they are the most expensive so far. Not a huge surprise, considering that is usually the case. If you pre-order your Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge today through March 18th, you will also get a free Gear VR plus a set of 6 VR games along with it for free. That’s a $150 value that you get for free. This isn’t limited to AT&T though, but everyone in the US pre-ordering. A pretty sweet deal, and a great way to get more people into virtual reality, which is becoming an even bigger deal each day.
