T-Mobile Launch 'Tablet On Us' Promotion For Valentine's Day

With Valentine’s Day approaching, many will be thinking of what they can pick up for their other half as a Valentine’s Day gift. If by chance, your other half happens to be interested in technology and in need of a tablet, then T-Mobile is looking to help out as they have today announced the launch of their ‘tablet on us’ promotion. A repeat of a deal the company offered back during August of 2015.

In terms of the deal, in short, you can now pick up a tablet from T-Mobile for free. The tablet on offer is the Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 7. The deal is live from today (Feb 5) and is said to run for as long as T-Mobile has stock. The tablet will cost you nothing (with the exception of tax) to purchase and nothing each month, although you do need to be signed up to a qualifying data plan to take advantage of the deal. This is a tablet which comes with a listed $168 price through T-Mobile and according to the details is available on an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) for $7 per month. As such, you will see the $7 being charged each month and also a credit for the $7 being applied each month. Essentially, you buy the tablet and T-Mobile pays the monthly EIP charges for you. As you might expect, cancelled plans before the end of the scheduled stop date will see the EIP credits also stopping and liability for the remaining balance moved to the customer.

If you are interested to know what is on offer with the tablet in terms of specs, then the Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 7 is a tablet which comes with a 7-inch display and one which makes use of a 1024 x 600 resolution. Inside, the Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 7 comes equipped with 1GB RAM, and is powered by a Quad-core processor. Storage is set at 8GB as standard, although there is the option to expand thanks to the included microSD card slot (up to 32GB). Additional features include 4G LTE support, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, a battery which is said to offer up to 17.5 hours of standby time and the device comes running on Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop) out of the box.
