HTC hasn’t been doing all that well in the last couple of years, at least as far as finances go. This Taiwan-based company was one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in the past, and they’ve been trying to increase sales for quite some time now. Nothing worked thus far, and the company hopes that their upcoming HTC 10 flagship will turn things around for them. This handset will almost certainly going to be announced on April 12th, HTC has already announced this event, and everything points to HTC 10 launch, the company has been teasing the arrival of this device for quite some time now, and chances are we’ll see more teasers in the coming days.
That being said, we were wondering when will HTC 10 going to be available for purchase, and according to a Taiwanese site, ePrice, that will happen on April 15th, at least in Taiwan. Chances are HTC will ship HTC 10 units in Taiwan first, and other markets will follow soon after, we’re guessing before the end of April, even though some rumors suggested that it might not be available in the US until May. Anyhow, HTC has been teasing HTC 10’s ‘world class cameras’ and the ‘new BoomSound audio’, which got fans excited, that’s for sure. Now, as far as HTC 10 specs go, we did see quite a few rumors thus far.
This smartphone will quite probably sport a 5.1 or 5.2-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, along with 4GB of RAM and multiple internal storage variants. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC will fuel the HTC 10, along with an Adreno 530 GPU. The 3,000mAh battery will reportedly going to be included here as well, and the phone will be made out of metal. The HTC 10 is said to sport chamfered edges, and a physical home button will be placed below the display, at least according to rumors, HTC did not confirm that just yet. As far as software is concerned, the HTC 10 will almost certainly ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, and the company’s Sense 8 UI will be included on top of it.
