Huawei P9 has, much like the Meizu PRO 6, been all over the news lately. Huawei’s upcoming flagship smartphone will be announced on April 6th in London, as the company has already sent out invites for that event. We’ll be at the show floor in order to report to you what’s going on, but there’s still quite some time before the event day, which means we’ll probably see more leaks, right? Well… we really didn’t have to wait long for a new piece of this puzzle to surface, read on.
As you probably already know, Huawei P9 real life images surfaced yesterday, after the company’s president was allegedly caught using this smartphone. Well, this new leak we’ll talk about doesn’t really show us the whole device, but it does re-confirms that the Huawei P9 will sport two cameras on the back, and that it will pack in a fingerprint scanner beneath them. If you take a look at the tweet below, you’ll basically get to see an animated .gif which shows off both the dual camera setup of the Huawei P9, as well as the fingerprint scanner unit. This .gif also confirms that the P9 will be made out of metal, though we already knew that. This info comes from Steve Hemmerstoffer, though he mentions that the .gif was originally shared by Huawei’s CEO, Richard Yu.
Huawei might introduce the Huawei P9 Lite and P9 Max alongside the P9 next month. We’re still not sure what to expect, but the Huawei P9 will certainly going to be announced by the company. This smartphone will probably sport a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, along with 3GB / 4GB of RAM, and it will be fueled by either the Kirin 950 or Kirin 955 64-bit octa-core processor. The rumors say those are 13-megapixel cameras included on the back of the device, and it will be interesting to see what was Huawei able to achieve with such sensors. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is expected to come pre-installed on this smartphone, and on top of it, you’ll get Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) skin. That is more or less it, stay tuned for further info.
