Huawei has become world’s third largest smartphone manufacturer in 2015. This China-based company has managed to sell over 100 million smartphones last year, and they’re looking to improve upon that this year. In order to do that, Huawei will have to introduce new and compelling smartphones, and it seems like one such device will be introduced on April 6th in London. Huawei has already announced that they will introduce the Huawei P9 (line) at said event, and we already have quite a few details about this phone, and its siblings.
The Huawei P9 will be the main attraction at the London event, but Huawei is also expected to introduce the P9 Lite and P9 Max devices. Now, we haven’t really seen that many P9 Max rumors or leaks thus far, but the P9 and P9 Lite have been all over the news, especially the Huawei P9. We’ve seen quite a few leaked images of this smartphone already, and a new set just surfaced. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see the Huawei P9 in the flesh. As you can see, this phone is made out of metal, and it sports a fingerprint scanner on the back. Both its power / lock and volume rocker physical keys are located on the right, while the 3.5mm headphone jack and a loudspeaker are placed on the bottom of the phone. The Type-C USB port is also located on the bottom fo this device, and a dual-LED, dual tone flash and a laser autofocus can be found on the back of this device.
Now, pretty much every single Huawei P9 leak we’ve seen showcased the dual camera setup on the back of the device, and Huawei has pretty much confirmed two such cameras are on the way in an official teaser which was published recently. These two cameras seem to be equally big, which means Huawei will opt for two 13-megapixel sensors on the back, which is quite interesting. As far as specs go, the Huawei P9 is rumored to sport a 5.2-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, along with 3GB / 4GB of RAM, and 32GB / 64GB of internal storage, though the 128GB variant is also a possibility. Huawei’s Kirin 950 or 955 64-bit octa-core SoC will fuel this phone, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed here with Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) available on top of it.
